El papel de la educación en la búsqueda de la unidad europea: los proyectos ilustrados y románticos de paz perpetua

Abstract

The sources of the peace education goes back far enoug. This article aims to analyzing some perpetual peace projects which were actually written beetween the XVII and XX centuries. Those projects, being regarded as a proper means in order to attain the european unity, may be viewed as antecedents of the today peace conferences. It is, then, acknowledged, that what started as a human desire for international agreement is progressively achieved and it is purported to show the role this particular dynamics plays in the education.

LOS orígenes de la educación para la paz se remontan bastante atrás en el tiempo. En este artículo se analizan en concreto una serie de proyectos de paz perpetua, escritos entre el siglo xvii y el XX, que podrían considerarse antecedentes de las actuales propuestas de educación para la paz y que, paralelamente, se presentan también como instrumentos para la unificación europea. Se ve cómo, lo que comienza siendo un humano anhelo de concordia internacional va progresivamente realizándose, y se estudia el puesto que en esa dinámica ocupa lo educativo.
