La evolución política del declive abasí: sobre política en Iraq entre los años 860 y 1258

Abstract

[ES]A finales del siglo IX, empezó el declive del califato abasí con el excesivo poder que alcanzaron algunos comandantes turcos en el gobierno, y con al alzamiento de diferentes dinastías que desestabilizaron la capacidad de gobierno imperial. A pesar de algunas épocas en las que el Califato recuperó parte de su poder debido a gobernantes hábiles, en los siglos siguientes el Declive fue inevitable. Otras potencias de fuera de Iraq dominaron el gobierno de Bagdad, en el que los califas eran gobernantes titulares sin poder político. A finales del siglo XII tuvo lugar un verdadero renacimiento del poder de los califas abasíes. Pero con las Invasiones mongolas el Califato de Bagdad encontró su fin en 1258. [EN]At the end of the 9th century, the decline of the Abbasid caliphate began with the excessive power achieved by some Turkish commanders in the government, and with the rise of different dynasties that destabilized the capacity of imperial government. Despite some periods in which the Caliphate regained some of its power due to able rulers, in the following centuries the Decline was inevitable. Other powers outside Iraq dominated the Baghdad government, in which the caliphs were incumbent governors without political power. At the end of the 12th century, a true rebirth of the power of the Abbasid caliphs took place. But with the Mongol Invasions the Caliphate of Baghdad found its end in 1258.
