Historia del régimen municipal castellano desde la Edad Media hasta la II República

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo se realizará un estudio acerca de la evolución del régimen municipal en España. Tras la introducción, comenzamos con una breve reseña sobre los antecedentes romano y visigodo; continuando con un profundo estudio de la figura del Concejo abierto en la Edad Media, incluyendo su declive, y de la aparición de regidores y corregidores en los nuevos Ayuntamientos. Seguidamente, nos referiremos a la Edad Moderna, haciendo un especial hincapié en los fenómenos de la venta de oficios y las reformas del rey Carlos III. A continuación, estudiaremos los municipios en la Edad Contemporánea, a partir de la Constitución de Cádiz de 1812, incidiendo en la vida de estos a lo largo del siglo XIX. Finalmente, abordaremos el siglo XX, hasta la llegada de la II República y expondremos nuestras conclusiones.

[EN] In the present work a study will be made about the evolution of the municipal regime in Spain. After the introduction, we begin with a brief review on the Roman and Visigothic backgrounds; continuing with a deep study of the figure of the Open Council in the Middle Ages, including its decline, and the appearance of councilors and magistrates in the new City Councils. Next, we will refer to the Modern Age, with a special emphasis on the phenomena of the sale of crafts and the reforms of King Carlos III. Next, we will study the municipalities in the Contemporary Age, starting with the Cádiz Constitution of 1812, focusing on their lives throughout the 19th century. Finally, we will approach the 20th century, until the arrival of the Second Republic and we will present our conclusions.
