Escribir desde el dolor: identidad y performatividad en Lo que no tiene nombre (2013), de Piedad Bonnett

Abstract

The paper aims to discuss the possible perspectives to approach the performativity in the writings of the self originated by the pain of the loss of a loved one. This will be conducted through the analysis of Lo que no tiene nombre (2013): in a final performative twist, the poetic voice claims to have made the child, whose suicide is explored in this work, to be born again. From the perspective of philosophy of language, discursive pragmatics and other theories on performativity, it will be studied how a guilty maternity gets reconfigured under a somatically loaded poetical discourse. The ineffability of death is transcended by a kind of performativity that generates an infinite maternity by adhering to a superreality of desire that, because of the essential conditions of its legitimation, is (im)possible.

Este trabajo se propone articular una propuesta hermenéutica amplia para abordar la performatividad en escrituras del yo surgidas del dolor por la pérdida del ser amado. Se analizará Lo que no tiene nombre (2013), de Piedad Bonnett: en un giro performativo final, la voz poética asegura haber vuelto a parir al hijo, en cuyo suicidio indaga, mediante la escritura de la obra. Desde la filosofía del lenguaje, la pragmática discursiva y otras teorías sobre lo performativo, se verá cómo la maternidad culpable es reconfigurada mediante un discurso poético investido de una fuerte carga somática. La inefabilidad del hecho fúnebre es trascendida en aras de una performatividad que origina una maternidad ad infinitum adhiriéndose a una supra-realidad del deseo que se revela como (im)posible por sus propias condiciones intrínsecas de legitimación.
