Abstract

[ESP] Las novelas de Lyonel Trouillot, autor haitiano, reconstruyen ante sus lectores, la vida y la historia de su país. Gracias a una escritura impactante y a unas imágenes reveladoras, Haití se va descubriendo gradualmente. Violencia implacable, racismo entre las diferentes etnias presentes en el país o incluso ritos y cultura criolla, los libros de Trouillot son ricos en emociones. Este universo duro y abrumador denuncia un pasado histórico doloroso que Trouillot refleja a través de un vaivén entre el presente y los recuerdos (la memoria) de la población. Un paseo por las calles de Haití que permite disfrutar de la belleza de los paisajes idílicos y escuchar el mensaje de un pueblo haitiano oprimido que lucha por su identidad que se reconstruye a partir de sus ruinas.

[ENG] The novels of Lyonel Trouillot, Haitian author, trace before their lectors, the life and the history of his country. Thanks to an impactfui writing and revealing images, Haiti is gradually being discovered. Relentless violence, racism between the différent ethnie groups présent in the country or even Créole rites and culture, Trouillot's books are rich in émotions. This harsh and overwhelming universe denounces (condemns) a painfui historical past that Trouillot accounts for by means of a back and forth between the présent and the memories of the population. A walk through the streets of Haiti that allow/s you to enjoy the beauty of the idyllic landscapes and hear the message of an oppressed Haitian people who are fighting for their identity which is being rebuilt from its ruins.
