A voz de Clarice Lispector e "a hora da estrela" em espanhol: o fundo político, a questão social e o Brasil cultural

Abstract

[ESP] Uno de los mayores modelos de la literatura contemporánea brasileña, Clarice Lispector es una autora conocida por su estilo lexical y gramaticalmente sencillo que esconde, sin embargo, un importante tono introspectivo, intimista y meditativo. No obstante el alto desarrollo de la psicología de sus personajes, la atención a su interior anímico y las famosas epifanías que desvelan su sorprendente e inevitable humanidad, sus obras no se alejan de la realidad que la rodea: la autora busca justamente en su observación del mundo la inspiración para la esencia del ser humano, construida no solo a partir de los factores internos, sino también de las circunstancias exteriores a su existencia. En su última novela, "A Hora da Estrela" en portugués, Clarice Lispector conforma por medio de numerosas y duraderas meditaciones y divagaciones del narrador, y de los sucesos e historia vitales de los personajes una obra que expone el país de manera inigualable. En esa producción, entran en contacto, se alían, se entrelazan y se combaten distintos Brasiles – realidades del mismo país marcado por la injusticia, la desigualdad, la convivencia y la pluralidad. De ese modo, con todo, sujeta el texto al conocimiento de ciertos factores, historias y características que lo apartan, por tanto, de la mirada y la comprensión extranjeras. Así, ¿cómo logra una de las obras de Clarice más exitosas y renombradas alcanzar a los lectores internacionales? Para que lo entendamos, analizaremos en el presente trabajo el caso específico de la traducción hecha en España: estudiaremos el contexto subyacente de la producción de la autora, las circunstancias en que vivía, la inspiración sociocultural del libro y las decisiones y estrategias traductológicas que intentan explicitar el país que existe por detrás del texto.

[ENG] One of the greatest models of Brazilian contemporary literature, Clarice Lispector is an author known for her lexically and grammatically simple style which, however, manages to hide an important introspective, intimist, and meditative tone to her writing. Despite the intense psychological development of her characters, her attention to their inner soul, and her famous epiphanies capable of revealing their surprising and inevitable humanity, Clarice's works do not distance themselves from the reality that surrounds them: the author looks precisely into the world she observes in order to find the essence of human beings, an essence constructed not only because of the internal factors but also on account of the circumstances that are external to their existence. In her last book, whose title in Portuguese is "A Hora da Estrela", Clarie Lispector builds by means of numerous and long meditations and digressions, and the character's vital history and happenings a work that incomparably exposes her country. In it, different Brazils get in touch, ally themselves, intertwine and fight each other amidst the realities of the same country marked by injustice, inequality, cohabitation, and plurality. Thereby, she subjects her text to the knowledge of certain factors, histories, and characteristics which, as a result, distances it from foreign points of view and understanding. Therefore, how does one of Clarice's most successful and renowned works manage to reach international readers? In order to understand it, we will dive into the analysis of a specific translation, the one made in Spain; we will study the subjacent context of the author's production, the circumstances amidst which she has lived, the sociocultural inspiration she has used to write this book, and the decisions and traductological strategies adopted to explain the country that exists behind the book cover.
