Fisionomía y naturalismo [De Zola a Galdós (algunas propuestas)]

Abstract

El trabajo se propone elucidar el papel que juegan los textos fisiológicos y naturalistas en Zola y Galdós, situándolos e interpretándolos en conjunto con los escritos deterministas y naturalistas y viendo la evolución a lo largo del tiempo de este último término. Para ello, se estudia su empleo junto a otros conceptos parecidos e ideas análogas como el determinismo en el comportamiento del ser humano, la picaresca y el humor cervantino como señales propias de ese ˘pre-naturalismoˇ español, el alegato de naturalismo espiritual en figuras y autores españoles y el corpus literario como muestra y ejemplo de la novela de corte naturalista. Se concluye que tres de las obras más representativas del autor francés y español, las descripciones, el léxico y la intención forman parte del objetivo fundamental con el que parte la escuela naturalista francesa, influir en la sociedad y remover la conciencia individual. El artículo finaliza con un diálogo y comparación entre parlamentos para observar de manera más visual las semejanzas y los objetivos del movimiento.

The assignment aims to elucidate the role that physiological and naturalistic texts play in Zola and Galdós, locating and interpreting them in conjunction with deterministic and naturalistic writings and seeing the evolution over time of this last term. For this, its use is studied together with other similar concepts and analogous ideas such as determinism in human behavior, picaresque and Cervantes humor as signs of that Spanish 'pre-naturalism', the allegation of spiritual naturalism in figures and Spanish authors and the literary corpus as a sample and example of the naturalistic novel. It is concluded that three of the most representative works of the French and Spanish author, the descriptions, the lexicon and the intention are part of the fundamental objective with which the French naturalist school starts, to influence society and remove individual conscience. The article ends with a dialogue and comparison between parliaments to observe in a more visual way the similarities and the objectives of the movement.
