La donna angelicata, de creación literaria a construcción social: importancia de la literatura en el imaginario colectivo

Abstract

Se pretende analizar en este trabajo la importancia del mito y su validez como fuente de análisis para lo social, así como el relevante papel que literatura y cine ejercen en la transmisión de este en la sociedad, donde pasa a ser instaurado en el imaginario colectivo. Se ha utilizado, para ello, la figura literaria de la mujer ángel, a través de la que se muestra el desarrollo del mito hasta convertirse en una construcción social, un estereotipo. La mutua influencia que literatura y sociedad mantienen, remarcada a lo largo de todo el trabajo, hace posible que esta figura pase a formar parte del imaginario femenino y que su representación sea, finalmente, acatada como norma durante siglos. Posteriormente, este papel es desempeñado también por el cine que, junto otros medios de expresión, difunde y reproduce esta imagen, continuando con la creación de ciertos patrones de comportamiento, tipificaciones y modelos a seguir. En definitiva, se intenta poner de manifiesto que el mito resulta una parte inseparable de la historia de la mujer y su representación.

The aim of this work is to analyze the importance of myth and its validity as a source of analysis for the social, as well as the relevant role that literature and cinema play in the transmission of myth in society, where it becomes established in the collective imagination. For this purpose, the literary figure of the angel woman has been used, through which the development of the myth is shown to become a social construct, a stereotype. The mutual influence that literature and society maintain, highlighted throughout the work, makes it possible for this figure to become part of the feminine imagination and for its representation to be, finally, respected as a rule for centuries. Subsequently, this role is also played by the cinema which, together with other means of expression, disseminates and reproduces this image, continuing with the creation of certain behavioural patterns, typifications and models to follow. In short, the aim is to show that myth is an inseparable part of the history of women and their representation.
