Story Teller: Sistema de identificación y reproducción de cuentos para niños.

Abstract

[ES]El trabajo de fin de grado “Story Teller: Sistema de identificación y reproducción de cuentos para niños” es una plataforma concebida para que los padres acerquen la literatura a sus hijos desde edades muy tempranas a través de la tecnología. Permite a cada usuario tener una colección de libros, para los más pequeños cuentos generalmente. Una vez introducidos en la plataforma ésta permitirá la fácil gestión y utilización del material. Asimismo, el usuario podrá acceder a los contenidos desde una aplicación móvil para facilitar la utilización desde cualquier lugar. A través de la realidad aumentada, proporcionada por la biblioteca Vuforia en la aplicación móvil, se puede usar el reconocimiento de imágenes que se hayan asociado a los libros para iniciar su reproducción de forma sencilla. Dicha reproducción se realiza a través de la conversión de texto a voz. Este detalle permite una alta personalización del contenido que hará aún más atractivo el uso de la herramienta por los niños.

[EN]The degree´s final project "Story Teller: System for the identification and reproduction of stories for children" is a platform designed for parents to initiate their children in literature from a very early age through technology. It allows each user to have a collection of books, or stories when it comes to the children. When the books are in the platform the user can smoothly manage and use the materials. Therefore, the user may access the content from an application and use it anywhere. The use Vuforia library´s augmented reality with the app allows the recognition of the images that have been associated with the books in order to play them readily. Such play is done through text-to-speech conversion. This detail allows to personalize the content, which will make the use of the tool even more attractive to children.
