Das Mittelhochdeutsche des Armen Heinrichs

Abstract

La intención de esta tesis es esbozar un esquema básico del alto alemán medio (Mittelhochdeutsch) a través de Der arme Heinrich (Pobre Enrique) de Hartmann von Aue. Sin embargo, no se trata sólo de un análisis lingüístico, sino que también se ofrece una introducción al contexto literario de la época para comprender mejor el sentido de la obra de Hartmann von Aue y su significado. Además, también se analizará el vocabulario específico del alemán medieval (cortesano) en esta obra en particular para tener una idea general de esta l2ngua y cultura de la Edad Media. Para ello, no sólo se estudiará la obra Der arme Heinrich, sino que también se consultarán otras obras que tratan de la gramática alemana a lo largo de la historia, así como diccionarios de alto alemán medio.

The intention of this thesis is to sketch a basic outline of Midde High German (Mittelhochdeutsch) through Hartmann von Aue’s Der arme Heinrich (Poor Henry). However, it is not only a linguistic analysis, but also an introduction to the literary context of the time is given in order to better understand the sense of Hartmann von Aue’s work and its significance. Furthermore, the specific medieval (courtly) German vocabulary in this particular work will also be discussed in order to get a general idea of this language and culture from the Medieval Ages. For this purpose, not only will the work Der arme Heinrich be studied, but also other works which deal with German grammar throughout history as well as Middle High German dictionaries will be consulted.
