Los judíos de Marruecos: análisis cronológico de la historia de la comunidad judeo-marroquí

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata del análisis cronológico de la historia de la comunidad judeo-marroquí. Se estudian las relaciones y la convivencia de ambas comunidades, judíos y musulmanes en Marruecos, comenzando por tiempos prácticamente inmemorables, pasando por otros de gran importancia histórica hasta llegar a la actualidad de nuestros días con el Rey Muhammad VI, las relaciones entre Israel y Marruecos y la reivindicaciones actuales debido al sentimiento aún presente de identidad y pertenencia a la comunidad presente por parte de lo descendientes actuales de los judíos marroquíes que emigraron a Israel. El trabajo finaliza con unas pinceladas que conciernen al patrimonio y al legado de dicha comunidad judeo-marroquí, las representaciones artísticas y culturales: música, narraciones autobiográficas y literarias, los museos como espacios que recogen documentos que ponen en relieve la importancia y la procedencia de la comunidad, las peregrinaciones, el culto a sus santos y, por último, las celebraciones aún presentes de sus fiestas tradicionales.

The present work discusses the chronological analysis of the history of the JewishMoroccan community. It studies the relations and the coexistence of both communities, Jews and Muslims in Morocco, starting with practically immemorial times, passing through others of great historical importance until reaching the present day with King Muhammad VI, the relations between Israel and Morocco and the current claims due to the still present feeling of identity and belonging to the present community on the part of the current descendants of the Moroccan Jews who emigrated to Israel. The work ends with some touches concerning the heritage and the legacy of this Jewish-Moroccan community, the artistic and cultural representations: music, autobiographical and literary narrations, the museums as spaces that collect documents that highlight the importance and the origin of the community, the pilgrimages, the worship of its saints and, finally, the still present celebrations of its traditional festivities.
