El oficio de la memoria: Beatus Ille, de Antonio Muñoz Molina

Abstract

En "El oficio de la memoria: Beatus Ille, de Antonio Muñoz Molina" realizaremos un estudio narratológico orientado a evidenciar cómo la construcción del tiempo, del narrador y del punto de vista implícitos en Beatus Ille están determinados por las relaciones entre memoria y proceso de escritura. Por otro lado, a partir del análisis narratológico, estudiaremos, desde una perspectiva formal y comparativa, la influencia de la obra de Marcel Proust en la concepción de la memoria que tiene el autor. Por último, se tratará de establecer qué aportaciones originales hace Antonio Muñoz Molina a la denominada “memoria poética” heredada del escritor francés.

In "The craft of memory: Beatus Ille, by Antonio Muñoz Molina" we will carry out a narratological study aimed at showing how the construction of time, the narrator and the point of view implicit in Beatus Ille are determined by the relationship between memory and the writing process. On the other hand, from the narratological analysis, we will study, from a formal and comparative perspective, the influence of Marcel Proust's work in the author's conception of memory. Finally, we will try to establish what original contributions Antonio Muñoz Molina makes to the so-called "poetic memory" inherited from the french writer.
