Aplicación de Tracking Menstrual.

Abstract

[ES]Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado consiste en el desarrollo de una aplicación móvil multiplataforma (Android e iOS) con estructura serverless enfocada al seguimiento del ciclo menstrual. Se ha optado por el desarrollo de este tipo de aplicación móvil debido a la importancia que tiene en la actualidad el seguimiento de una gran variedad de actividades a través de aplicaciones móviles. Además de esto, el denominado FemTech essectortecnológico en auge, y que apuesta por soluciones informáticas enfocadas a la mujer. Además, se ha observado que, en la mayoría de las soluciones existentes actualmente, se sigue un diseño estereotípicamente femenino, con una iconografía y lenguaje no inclusivo, algo que es un tema de actualidad en todo el mundo, y que no tiene en cuenta a los diferentes tipos de usuarios a los que puede estar dirigida la aplicación, estando así enfocadas generalmente únicamente al embarazo. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es el diseño e implementación de una aplicación que permita elseguimiento del ciclo menstrual, así como la elaboración de predicciones precisas sin enfocarse únicamente al embarazo. Además, el diseño de la aplicación deberá ser neutro, optando por colores sin estereotipos y facilitando una interfaz personalizable. Así mismo, se optará por una iconografía inclusiva y abstracta en los casos en los que sea necesario, y se prestará especial atención al lenguaje utilizado, ya que pese a ser un público objetivo principalmente femenino, no hay que olvidar las personas pertenecientes al colectivo LGTBIQ+ también posibles usuarios del sistema. A estos últimos, un lenguaje en el que no se asuma el género, podría hacerles sentir más cómodos a la hora del uso de la aplicación. Para el desarrollo del proyecto se ha utilizado el framework Flutter, haciendo uso del lenguaje Dart y apoyándose en el BaaS Firebase, ofrecido por Google, para el almacenamiento de datos y gestión de autenticación.

[EN]This end-of-degree project consist in the development of a cross-platform mobile application (Android and iOS) with a serverless structure focused on the monitoring of the menstrual cycle. The development of this type of mobile application has been chosen due to the current importance of monitoring a wide variety of activities through mobile applications. In addition to this, the so-called FemTech is a booming technological sector, which is committed to IT solutions focused on women. Furthermore, it has been observed that most of the solutions currently in existence follow a stereotypically feminine design, with non-inclusive iconography and language, something that is a current issue worldwide, and that does not take into account the different types of usersto whom the application may be addressed, being thus generally focused only on pregnancy. The main objective of this project is the design and implementation of an application that allowsthe monitoring of the menstrual cycle, as well asthe elaboration of accurate predictions without focusing solely on pregnancy. In addition, the design of the application should be neutral, opting for colours without stereotypes and providing a customisable interface. Likewise, inclusive and abstract iconography will be used where necessary, and special attention will be paid to the language used,since despite being a mainly female target audience, we must not forget the people belonging to the LGTBIQ+ group, who are also possible users of the system. For the latter, a language that does not assume gender could make them feel more comfortable when using the application. For the development of the project, the Flutter framework has been used, making use of the Dart language and relying on the BaaS Firebase, offered by Google, for data storage and authentication management.
