[EN] There are currently high rates of disability resulting from the sequelae of acquired brain damage (ABI). Strokes are one of the most important causes of such brain damage. Such are the repercussions of strokes that it is necessary to reorganize, adapt or compensate many aspects of people's daily lives. The consequences limit the person, their occupation, their quality of life and, therefore, that of their environment. Occupational therapy is a discipline that collaborates in the rehabilitation of these patients as it works with techniques, methods and actions to achieve the maximum autonomy and independence of the person and make possible the reinsertion into the workplace, mental, physical and social. The continuous research of techniques for the treatment of cerebrovascular disease has allowed the incorporation of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a post-stroke neurorehabilitation method. The work presented below consists of a bibliographic review of the benefits at motor level of intensive treatment of occupational therapy together with the application in clinical practice of transcranial magnetic stimulation in patients who have suffered a stroke. | es_ES |
