La identidad y el cuerpo: nuestro vínculo con el mundo

Abstract

El cuerpo alberga y refleja nuestra identidad, se concibe como el soporte real donde nos desarrollamos, donde se refugia nuestra personalidad, pensamientos, sueños y frustraciones. Se trata del único medio visible ante el mundo, que nos vincula con los demás y el mundo. Desde esta posición se entiende el cuerpo como único ya que se trata del escaparate de nuestra mente y por tanto, se expresa de manera única en cada forma. La expresión de nuestra identidad comienza por la búsqueda de lo intrínseco, la indagación en el propio ser y utilizar el cuerpo como vehículo y a la vez frontera del mundo interior y el exterior. Nos acercamos al mundo a través de nuestro propio cuerpo, convirtiéndose en un escaparate de lo que somos, en la expresión física de nuestra mente. De este modo, el cuerpo se transforma en el intermediario de conexiones y vínculos con el mundo. No sólo nuestras palabras definen quiénes somos, sino que nos reconocemos por cosas tan sensibles como la forma de acariciar, la manera en que miramos a nuestro alrededor, las expresiones faciales o corporales, etc..

The body reflects our identity, it is conceived as the real support where we develop, where our personality, thoughts, dreams and frustrations take refuge. It is the only way to be visible to the world, which connects us with others and the world. From this position, the body is understood as unique since it is the showcase of our mind and therefore, it is expressed in a unique way in each form. The expression of our identity begins with the search for the intrinsic, the inquiry into one's own being and using the body as a vehicle and at the same time as a border between the inner and outer world. We approach the world through our own body, becoming a showcase of who we are, the physical expression of our mind. In this way, the body becomes the intermediary of connections and links with the world. Not only our words define who we are, but we recognize ourselves by things as sensitive as the way we caress, the way we look around us, facial or body expressions, etc.
