Jerónimo de Ayanz, inventor, emprendedor y empresario : 1553-1613

Abstract

[ES] Jerónimo de Ayanz y Beaumont fue una figura clave en el desarrollo de la ciencia e invención durante el Siglo de Oro español (Ibarra J. 1951). Su evolución de soldado a genio nos ofrece un personaje sin parangón gracias al descubrimiento de su figura. Persona polivalente como militar, pintor, cosmógrafo, músico, inventor, empresario, científico y regidor adelanta con sus aportaciones en varios siglos a otros autores (García, 1951).Su figura está siendo últimamente reivindicada como genio e inventor con aportes en el terreno de la invención a través de la máquina de vapor, el traje de submarino y el aire acondicionado, en el terreno de la mineralogía a través de su papel como administrador de las minas del reino y en el terreno del emprendimiento al reivindicar la patente sobre sus creaciones y la creación de compañías por la búsqueda de rédito económico. Por todo ello el objetivo de este trabajo era resaltar la importancia de este personaje dentro del ámbito económico. El desarrollo del trabajo ha sido posible gracias a una revisión cualitativa que se ha realizado con una búsqueda bibliográfica, en la que se ha podido concluir el avance importante de Ayanz en el terreno económico y científico. [EN] Jerónimo de Ayanz y Beaumont was a key figure in the development of science and invention during the Spanish Golden Age (Ibarra, 1951). His evolution from soldier to genius offers us an unparalleled character thanks to the discovery of his figure. A versatile person as a military man, painter, cosmographer, musician, inventor, businessman, scientist and ruler. His contributions are several centuries ahead of those of other authors. His figure is lately being claimed as a genius and inventor with contributions in the field of invention through the steam engine, the submarine suit and air conditioning, in the field of mineralogy through his role as administrator of the mines of the kingdom and in the field of entrepreneurship by claiming the patent on his creations and the creation of companies in the search for economic profit. The development of the work has been possible thanks to a bibliographic search where it has been possible to conclude the important advance of Ayanz in the economic and scientific field (García, 1951). Therefore, the aim of this work was to highlight the importance of this character in the economic field.
