Un nuevo procedimiento terapéutico: La desensibilización por movimientos oculares y reprocesamiento.

Abstract

[ES]Desde su inclusión en 1980 en el DSM-III, el desorden por estrés post-traumático (PTSD) ha ido cobrando un creciente interés, proliferando multitud de estudios sobre su etiología y tratamiento. Con las primeras técnicas surgieron los primeros problemas. Un nuevo procedimiento, la desensibilización por movimientos oculares y reprocesamiento (EMDR), empieza a perfilarse como la solución a tales dificultades. Sin embargo, al entusiasmo inicial suscitado por el mismo, le han seguido varios interrogantes que vuelven a oscurecer el panorama. En el trabajo que presentamos, en primer lugar describimos el procedimiento EMDR. En segundo lugar, presentamos algunas de las consideraciones que, hasta hoy, se han planteado sobre el mismo.[EN]Since 1980, when the posttraumatic stress disorder was first included in the DSM-III, it generated a growing interest and lots of studies proliferated about its etiology and treatment. With the first procedures arose the first problems. A new procedure, the eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) seemed to be the solution to such troubles. But the initial enthusiasm was followed by several new questions which darkened again the picture.. In this study, the EMDR procedure is first described. Then some considerations proposed up to date, about EMDR are presented.
