El primer amuleto de Arslan Tas. Estudio epigráfico filológico y lingüístico

Abstract

[ES] Los conocidos como amuletos de Arslan Taş (Siria) son un conjunto formado por tan solo dos piezas de pequeño tamaño, adquiridadas en 1933 por el conde Mesnil du Buisson sin un contexto arqueológico claro. Esto, unido a su aparente singularidad, ha suscitado tanto dudas respecto a su autenticidad como interpretaciones divergentes entre los especialistas, algunas especialmente fantasiosas. En la presente tesis doctoral se pretende, en primer lugar, demostrar la autenticidad de ambas piezas más allá de cualquier escepticismo científico razonable. A continuación, se ofrece un análisis global del primero de los amuletos de Arslan Taş, en el que no se descuida el estudio epigráfico y se termina por fijar un nuevo texto, ligeramente distinto al de las lecturas precedentes. A lo largo esta tesis, se abordan cuestiones de índole filológica y lingüística. En particular se realza la complejidad de los niveles textuales reconocibles en la pieza y el trasfondo ugarítico que algunas de sus expresiones acusan. [EN] The so-called Arslan Taş amulets (Syria) are a set of only two small pieces, acquired in 1933 by Count Mesnil du Buisson without a clear archaeological context. This, together with their apparent uniqueness, has raised both doubts regarding their authenticity and divergent interpretations among specialists, some of which are particularly fanciful. In this doctoral dissertation, the aim is, first, to demonstrate the authenticity of both pieces beyond any reasonable scientific scepticism. Next, a global analysis of the first of the Arslan Taş amulets is offered, in which the epigraphic study is not neglected, and a new text is established that is slightly different from the previous readings. Throughout this dissertation, questions of a philological and linguistic nature are addressed. In particular, the complexity of the textual levels recognizable in the piece and the Ugaritic background that some of its expressions reveal are highlighted.
