dc.description.abstractThis paper focuses on all Greek manuscripts whose binding has a decorative brand showing the Palaiologos´ monogram. It is concluded that this monogram does not mean that the bindings were ordered by members of the Palaiologos imperial family; rather it indicates that those bindings were made in the monastery of Prodromus-Petra. This monastery was under the patronage of emperor Manuel II Palaiologos and perhaps of his father John Ves_ES
