[ES]Este trabajo investiga la influencia de la red social en la salud mental de los estudiantes universitarios en España. Utilizando un análisis multivariante y tres cuestionarios validados (GHQ-12, MSPSS y GAD-7), se evaluaron diferentes dimensiones del apoyo social y su impacto en el bienestar mental de los estudiantes. La muestra, compuesta por 362 estudian-tes de diversas universidades españolas, permitió analizar las relaciones entre el apoyo de amigos, familiares y otros significativos con la salud mental y los niveles de ansiedad.
Los resultados mostraron que los cuestionarios empleados son válidos y fiables para esta investigación. Además, se observó que el apoyo social, especialmente el de otros significa-tivos, tiene una fuerte influencia en la salud mental positiva.
[EN]This research investigates the influence of the social support on the mental health of univer-sity students in Spain. Using a multivariate analysis and three validated questionnaires (GHQ-12, MSPSS and GAD-7), different dimensions of social support and their impact on students' mental well-being were evaluated. The sample, composed of 362 students from various Spanish universities, allowed us to analyze the relationships between the support of friends, family and significant others with mental health and anxiety levels.
The results showed that the questionnaires used are valid and reliable for this research. In addition, it was observed that social support, especially from significant others, has a strong influence on positive mental health. Detailed analyses were conducted to identify specific patterns and associations, highlighting the importance of the social environment in the emo-tional well-being of university students.
