Estudio sobre la capilla de San Martín en la catedral Vieja de Salamanca

Abstract

[ES]Este estudio explora la capilla de San Martín en la catedral Vieja de Salamanca, fundada en 1264 la capilla abarca manifestaciones pictóricas y escultóricas de los siglos XIII y XIV. Teniendo en cuenta lo aportado hasta el momento por la historiografía, se ha llevado a cabo un análisis de las manifestaciones artísticas que conforman la capilla, para después realizar una aproximación a su recepción estética, atendiendo también a los motivos que llevaron a su abandono y resignificación para así abordar las distintas temporalidades de la obra de arte. El trabajo incluye por tanto fotografías y transcripciones para facilitar su estudio e investigación

[EN]This study explores the San Martin´s chapel in the old cathedral of Salamanca, founded in the year 1264 this chapel encompasses pictorial and suctorial manifestations form the 13th and 14th centuries. Having into account what had previously been contributed by historiography, we carried an analysis of the manifestations that integrate the chapel and then made a first attempt at the aesthetic reception of the chapel while also looking at the chapel´s desertion and resignification so that we could explore the different temporalities of art history. To make the study and research of the chapel more accessible this paper also includes photographs and transcriptions
