Estudio cualitativo del movimiento Tradwife en España: la cuarta ola del Feminismo

Abstract

[ES]Esta investigación tiene como propósito conocer el movimiento Tradwife en España y observar la tendencia actual del mismo, debido a la escasa bibliografía sobre este tema. La metodología empleada es cualitativa, basada en un enfoque fenomenológico y sociocrítico. Las respuestas se obtuvieron mediante una encuesta en línea con respuestas abiertas en la cual se controló la edad, el género, los estudios y el trabajo (los dos últimos no fueron contemplados finalmente en la discusión y conclusión). Los resultados logrados se analizaron teniendo en cuenta 3 modelos de análisis: de contenido, semántico y DAFO. Para poder analizar los resultados se agruparon las respuestas en 1 metacategoría (Movimiento Tradwife) y 6 categorías: 1) perfeccionismo y belleza; 2) mujer en el hogar; 3) dependencia económica; 4) maternidad; 5) pasividad; y 6) sumisión al marido. Estas se dividieron en 3 subcategorías: a) sí; b) no y c) tal vez. En el análisis de contenido se observaron muchas respuestas que correspondían a la subcategoría no, excepto en la categoría maternidad donde ascendieron sí y tal vez, en comparación con el resto de categorías, y en la categoría sumisión al marido, en la que la subcategoría tal vez se acercó al 40% de las respuestas. Con respecto al análisis semántico, se destacaron determinadas palabras en función de su aparición y significado: hijos, hogar, debe (en sus distintos tiempos verbales), felicidad, papel e iniciativa. Por último, en el análisis DAFO se reflexionó acerca de las debilidades, amenazas, fortalezas y oportunidades que presentaba el educador social en relación a su labor dentro de este movimiento; a partir de este análisis se estableció una propuesta de intervención. Finalmente, en la discusión se pudo ver que no existe actualmente ninguna tendencia en aumento del movimiento Tradwife en España ni tampoco se registraron diferencias significativas entre los diferentes géneros.

[EN]The purpose of this research is to learn about the Tradwife movement in Spain and observe its current trends, given the limited literature on this subject. The methodology used is qualitative, based on a phenomenological and sociocritical approach. Responses were obtained through an online survey with open-ended questions, in which age, gender, education and employment were controlled (the latter two were not ultimately included in the discussion and conclusion). The results obtained were analysed using three models: content analysis, semantic analysis and SWOT analysis. In order to analyse the results, the responses were grouped into one meta-category (Tradwife Movement) and six categories: 1) perfectionism and beauty; 2) woman in the home; 3) economic dependence; 4) motherhood; 5) passivity; and 6) submission to the husband. These were divided into three subcategories: a) yes; b) no; and c) maybe. In the content analysis, many responses corresponded to the no subcategory, except in the motherhood category, where yes and maybe responses were higher than in the other categories, and in the submission to husband category, where the maybe subcategory accounted for nearly 40% of responses. With regard to the semantic analysis, certain words were highlighted based on their appearance and meaning: children, home, must (in its different tenses), happiness, role, and initiative. Finally, the SWOT analysis reflected on the weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities presented by the social educator in relation to their work within this movement; based on this analysis, a proposal for intervention was established. Finally, the discussion showed that there is currently no upward trend in the Tradwife movement in Spain, nor were there any significant differences between the different genders.
