Resumen
Educational resources must be adapted and updated according to the new needs that arise in the different disciplines they address. In this sense, the growth of renewable resources and energy sustainability means that those univer-sity degrees that address these topics need a boost to improve the skills of their students. In this context, this research presents a new learning methodology that includes an innovative experimental approach that helps students evaluate first-hand the components that influence the performance of renewable installations. Specifically, the methodology proposes experimental analysis with components that constitute shallow geothermal systems, one of the traditionally least known renewable sources and with the most growth limitations. Given the importance that this energy source has and will have in the near future, it is considered necessary for university students to have appropriate knowledge adapted to the developments that are emerging in this field. Thanks to this activity, students will understand the foundation of this type of systems and how to move forward in the direction of alleviating the limitations they currently face. At the same time, the proposal sup-poses an educational enrichment that will improve the practical and theoretical skills of the students with the corresponding impact on their future professional activity.
