Introduction: Vaping has emerged as an alternative to conventional smoking, especially among adolescents. Although initially considered less harmful, current studies reflect growing concern about its effects on respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological health. The erroneous perception of its harmlessness, together with social and marketing factors, has contributed to its rapid expansion. In view of this situation, it is necessary to analyze the real impact of the use of electronic cigarettes in the adolescent population.
