Resumen
The Canon Regular of Lateran Congregation Pedro Pablo de Ribera is an author completely unknown to the literary public. A native of Valencia, he lived for a long time in Italy dealing mainly with translations from Latin into Italian. Among his works, all published in the first decade of the 17th century in Venice, of great importance is Le glorie immortali, a female catalogue of Counter-reform era, in which he describes more than eight hundred women who throughout history, from Antiquity to the Modern
Age, distinguished themselves for their gifts, qualities and abilities in various fields, thus representing true examples to be emulated.
