Acerca de los determinantes en español y los rentaishi (連体詞) en japonés

Abstract

En este trabajo, se investigará qué es un determinante en español y qué son en comparación los adjetivos prenominales o rentaishi (連体詞) en japonés, reflexionando acerca de las varias interpretaciones de las categorías gramaticales. Mediante un análisis contrastivo basado en diversos manuales de gramática de ambos idiomas, se mostrará cómo los rentaishi comparten con los determinantes una trayectoria etimológica, funcional y semántica notoriamente similar, aunque también poseen diferencias. A pesar de esto, las menciones acerca de sus conexiones y discrepancias, o tan siquiera acerca del concepto de rentaishi en sí, son sorprendentemente escasas hasta la fecha, por lo menos, en la enseñanza hispanoparlante del japonés.

In this paper, it will be investigated about what a Spanish determiner is and what a Japanese pre-noun adjectival would be in comparison by reflecting upon the various interpretations of each grammatical category. Through a contrastive analysis based on diverse grammar manuals of both languages, it will be shown that, etymological, functional and semantically speaking, both share a notoriously similar background, albeit also with differences. Despite this, the mentions concerning their connections and discrepancies, or even about the concept of rentaishi itself, are up until now surprisingly scarce, at least, in the Spanish-speaking teaching of Japanese.
