[EN] Contrary to what has been the case in other historical moments, one of the main features of recent Nigerian literature is that, in many instances, it is written by women. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has undoubtedly become one of the new voices that, in the last few years, have strongly emerged on the African literary scene. Her understanding of African feminisms as well as her interest in redrawing the images of Africa and Africans that are often prevalent in the West have greatly influenced her writing. In her works, which include her collection of short stories, The Thing around Your Neck, and her three novels, Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, Adichie offers multiple and diverse representations of what it means to be an African woman in the 21st century.es_ES
