La Banda Municipal de Música de Albacete: desde sus orígenes hasta la primera década del siglo XX

Abstract

La investigación reconstruye, desde sus estructuras más elementales, losorígenes y evolución de la Banda Municipal de Albacete, entre los años 1819 y1911. Su importancia radica en que no existía estudio previo alguno queabordase, ni siquiera de forma aproximativa, la historia de este conjuntomusical, desinformación que suponía una gran carencia a nivel histórico,artístico y cultural, en cuanto al patrimonio de Albacete, y por extensión, delpaís.Así, se ha recopilado y sistematizado la totalidad de información relativa a laformación en el intervalo temporal señalado, a nivel interno y externo, en suvertiente estructural, material, legislativa y humana, ubicándola además, en larealidad histórica, social, política y económica de cada momento, detallando lossiguientes aspectos:· Antecedentes del conjunto: Banda de la Milicia Nacional de Albacete.· Fecha oficial de fundación: 1859.· Circunstancias que llevaron al Consistorio a tutelar al conjunto.· Directores que se encontraron al frente de la banda: identidades; año ymodalidad de acceso al cargo; fecha y causas de cese; formación yexperiencia previas; actividad compositiva, interpretativa, docente,pedagógica y directiva; otros datos personales.· Lugares y escenarios donde actuaba.· Actuaciones: establecimiento de patrones en cuanto a parámetros decarácter (profanas/religiosas/civiles/militares), número, frecuencia,obligatoriedad o remuneración.· Reglamentos y documentos organizativos.· Continuidad del conjunto.· Obstáculos que dificultaron su funcionamiento.· Plantillas de músicos: estructuras, salarios, músicos destacados.· Perfil profesional y personal de los músicos.· Cantidad y calidad del material de la formación: vestuario, instrumental yarchivo musical.· Repertorio: compositores, títulos, tipología. Establecimiento de una líneaevolutiva.· Espacios de instrucción y ensayos del conjunto: ubicación, descripción,gastos de mantenimiento y material.· Régimen instructivo y medios didácticos.· Relaciones con otras agrupaciones filarmónicas locales: Banda deTambores, Cornetas y Trompetas de la Milicia; Orquesta de Capilla;Banda «Unión Musical»; y Banda Provincial.· Visitas a Albacete de conjuntos foráneos durante la época tratada.· Nueva trayectoria de la Banda Municipal de Albacete a partir de 1911.

The research reconstructs, from its more elementary structures, theorigins and evolution of the Municipal Band of Albacete from 1819 to 1911. Thisstudy is important because no previous essay existed, not even in anapproximated way, about the history of this musical group. These factsunknown to most of us meant a great lack at historical, artistic and cultural level,not only for the cultural heritage of Albacete but also for the heritage of thewhole country.In this way, the research has gathered together and systematized the totalityof the information about the band in the appointed period of time, at an internaland external level, in its structural, material, legislative and human aspects, andplacing it in the historical, social, political and economical reality at that time,detailing the following aspects:· Antecedents of the band: Band of the National Militia of Albacete.· Official date of foundation: 1859.· Circumstances that took to the Council to guide the band.· Conductors who were in charge of the band: identities, year and modality toget the position; dates and dismissing causes, education and previousexperiences; teaching, pedagogical, performing, composing and conductingactivities; other personal details.· Places and stages where the band acted.· Performances: establishment of patterns as for parameters of character(profane/religious/civil/military), number, frequency, obligation orremuneration.· Regulations and organizational documents.· Continuity of the group.· Obstacles that hindered its running.· Musicians of the staffs: structure, wages, outstanding musicians.· The musicians' professional and personal profile.· Quantity and quality of the teaching and educational material: wardrobe,musical file and instruments.· Repertoire: composers, titles, typology. Establishment of an evolutionary line.· Spaces for the education and rehearsals of the band: location, description,maintenance costs and material expenses.· Teaching regime and educational means.· Relations with other local philharmonic bands: Band of Drums, Bugles andCornets of the Militia; Chapel Orchestra; Band Unión Musical"; and ProvincialBand.· Visits to Albacete of foreign ensembles during the treated time.· New course of the Municipal Band of Albacete starting from 1911.
