Globalización, interculturalidad y metáfora(s) del mestizaje.

Abstract

[ES] El fenómeno de la mundialización, tal como se presenta en la actualidad -con el correspondiente mestizaje y homogeneización que le es inherente-, puede ser analizado como réplica o sucedáneo de procesos y mecanismos anteriores, aunque con nuevas configuraciones y nuevas consecuencias. Tales consecuencias suelen implicar métodos y presupuestos violentos. La noción de mestizaje en profundidad, junto con el proyecto de un diálogo intercultural transformador del enfrentamiento en el encuentro y de la tolerancia en hospedaje del otro y en el otro, representa una alternativa viable que supone la capacidad del hombre de ser, no sólo en términos cognitivos, sino en lo más íntimo de su ser y de su libertad, el universo, o sea, la unidad de la diversidad de todas las cosas.

[EN] The problem of globalisation, as it appears at the present time -with its corresponding crossbreeding and homogenisation-, could be analysed like a replica of previous processes and mechanisms, although with new configurations and new consequences. Such consequences contain generally and historically violent methods and premises. The notion of crossbreeding in depth, together with the project of an intercultural dialogue -transforming the confrontation in encounter and the tolerance in lodging of the other and in the other-, represents a viable alternative that presupposes the capacity of the human being to be, not only in cognitive terms, but in the most intimate of their being and their freedom, the universe, that is to say, the unity of the diversity of all things.
