Sobre la mutación socioeconómica de larga duración en Occidente durante los siglos V-VIII

Abstract

[ES] El presente artículo analiza los procesos de transición de la Antigüedad Tardía a la Alta Edad Media a través del estudio comparado de tres regiones diferentes: Italia, Túnez y la Galia septentrional. Se plantean cuatro grandes parámetros, como son la guerra, la estructura estatal, la estructura de la propiedad privada y la integración en el sistema económico romano, para observar los cambios socioeconómicos en la larga duración que dieron lugar a la formación del mundo medieval y valorar las diferencias regionales.

[EN] This paper analyses the process of transition from Late Antiquity to Early Middle Ages through a comparative study of three different regions: Italy, Tunisia and northern Gaul. The article is focused on the evolution of four factors, such as the war, the structure of the State, the structure of the private ownership and the integration in the Roman economic system. They allow to understand the long-term socio-economic changes, that gave cause for the formation of the Medieval world, and show the regional differences.
