Exitvs en la documentación latina medieval de Galicia: posibilidades contextúales y significativas

Abstract

[ES] El término exitus desempeña un papel muy importante en los textos monásticos medievales. Este artículo se propone mostrar sus posibles acepciones contextúales y significativas sobre un corpus de textos monásticos gallegos constituido por 4.200 documentos que pertenecen a 37 centros monásticos, y se escalonan a lo largo del período que va desde el s. vm hasta mediados del s. xni. Estos documentos constituyen el 7,3 % del corpus sobre el que estamos trabajando. Desde el punto de vista contextual es necesario distinguir dos tipos diferentes de usos: el uso formulario (el más importante), y el libre. Por lo que respecta al significado, existen distintas acepciones que en muchas ocasiones están determinadas por el contexto.

[EN] The term exitus plays a very important role among medieval monastic texts. This paper tries to show both its contextual and its meaning possibilities on this corpus of Galician monastic texts constituted by 4200 documents which belong to 37 monastic centers for the period 8th-1st half 13th century This term is present for the 7.3% of the Corpus we are working on. For the contextual point of view, it is necessary to distinguish two different kinds of use: the formulary (the most important one) and the free; on the other hand, concerning its meaning, there are several possibilities which are sometimes determinated by the context.
