[ES] Las cartas del obispo Montano de Toledo en la primera mitad del siglo V deben entenderse en el contexto de la polémica priscilianista. Toribio, a quien se dirige una de estas cartas, es probablemente el obispo de una sede del reino suevo más dispuesto a actuar a favor de la ortodoxia ante el rey suevo y los otros obispos del reino.

[EN] The letters from bishop Montanus of Toledo in the first part of the fifth century have to be understood in the context of the Prisciliianist controversy. Thuribius, the addressee of one of the letters, probably is a bishop of one of the sees of the Suevic kingdom more likely to intervene on behalf of orthodoxy before the Suevic king and his fellow bishops.
