"The unexpressed expressed": the mystical in Emily Dickinsons´s Death Poems

Abstract

[EN]This study provides the view from Emily Dickinson on the use of this language and how language allows us to know his poetic world. The same language never reveal the mysteries behind the unknown or unexplained, but this difference is overcome by the use of mysticism. According to Dickinson the world needs a combination of mystical language and the linguistic analysis for the study of a poetic universe.

[ES]En este trabajo se aportan la visión de Emily Dickinson sobre el uso del lenguaje y cómo este lenguaje nos permite conocer su mundo poético. El mismo lenguaje nunca revelará los misterios ocultos detrás de lo desconocido o inexplicable, pero esta diferencia se supera gracias a la utilización de la mística. Según Dickinson el mundo necesita una combinación entre el lenguaje y lo místico analizando las características lingüísticas para el estudio de su universo poético.
