La brujería en el tiempo y en los discursos plásticos del siglo XX: denuncia, recurrencia y resilencia de los estereotipos de género en el cine

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar –recurriendo a algunas muestras significativas- que los estereotipos de género que alimentaron el mito de las brujas y la brujo-manía o manía persecutoria que dio lugar a injustificables muertes y torturas de tantas mujeres inocentes y al uso de la palabra bruja como insulto dirigido a la denigración de muchas mujeres, cuando no de todas (aún podemos escuchar ocasionalmente “las mujeres son –o sois- unas brujas”) ha sido objeto muchas veces de críticas, pero logra, pese a todo, una recurrencia y una resiliencia sorprendente, siendo capaz aún de nutrir discursos plásticos bien acogidos por el público a finales del siglo XX y aún, en el siglo XXI.

[EN] The aim of this paper is to show, using representative samples, that some gender stereotypes that fueled the myth of the witches and the witch-mania or persecution that resulted in unwarranted killings and torture of many innocent women and use of the word witch as insult to the denigration of many women, if not all (we can still hear occasionally "women-are-or are you a witch") has been often criticized, but he manages, despite everything, a recurrence and a surprising resilience, being able to nurture even plastic welcome speeches by the public in the late twentieth century and even in the XXI century.
