Cricotirotomía en paciente con angioedema de lengua secundario a inhibidor del enzima convertidor de la angiotensina

Abstract

[ES] El angioedema hereditario por Inhibidores de la enzima convertidora de angiotensina (IECA) es un trastorno muy infrecuente. Suele afectar a la mucosa de la vía aérea supeior y producir cuadros obstructivos de rápida evolución con necesidad de tratamiento urgente. Se presenta el caso de un paciente en tratamiento con IECA y se revisa la prevalencia, fisiopatología y manejo de los angioedemas por tratamiento con IECA, así como los últimos tratamientos.

[EN] Hereditary angioedema by inhibitors of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) is a very rare disorder. It usually affects the upper airway mucosa and produce rapidly evolving acute exacerbations requiring urgent treatment. We repost the case of a patient being treated with ACE inhibitors and an review of prevalence, pathophysiology and management of angioedema with ACE inhibitors for treatment and the latest treatments.
