Teoría del encuadre: Panorámica conceptual y estado del arte en el contexto hispano

Abstract

[ES] La teoría del encuadre, además de constituir un corpus teórico de innegable peso en la literatura científica sobre comunicación, también supone un anclaje metodológico del que parten numerosas investigaciones para aproximarse a sus diferentes objetos de estudio. Ante la relevancia de este paradigma, cuyos fundamentos conceptuales son repasados, el objetivo principal del presente estudio consiste en perfilar, de modo descriptivo y bibliométrico, el estado de la investigación sobre framing en el ámbito hispanoamericano de la última década (2007-2016). Para ello, se seleccionaron las 10 revistas de mayor impacto en 2016, presentes en la base internacional Scopus en la categoría de comunicación. A tenor de los datos recabados, se constata que el estudio del framing en el actual contexto de publicación hispano atraviesa una fase de crecimiento permanente, abanderado por una reducida nómina de autores muy proactivos en el área.

[EN] The framing theory, besides constituting a theoretical corpus of undeniable relevance in the scientific literature on communication, also supposes a methodological basis from which numerous investigations start to approach its different objects of study. Therefore, and in view of the importance of this paradigm whose conceptual foundations are reviewed, the main objective of the present study is to characterize, in a descriptive and bibliometric way, the state of research on framing in the Hispanic-American context of the last decade (2007-2016). To this purpose, the 10 journals with the greatest impact were selected in 2016, present at the international base Scopus in the communication category. Based on the collected data, it is verified that the study of framing in the current context of Hispanic publication is going through a constant increase phase, with a low number of very proactive authors in the area.
