Resumen
[EN]This chapter analyses how intergenerational programmes between universities and companies can be a key tool for reducing the digital divide in today's workplace. Faced with rapid technological transformation driven by artificial intelligence, older workers face challenges in adaptation and learning, while younger generations, although technologically advanced, lack socio-emotional skills and commitment to work.
Population ageing and ageism impact social and educational dynamics, highlighting the need for an inclusive approach that fosters intergenerational respect and collaboration. The integration of emotional intelligence with technology is essential to maintaining healthy and productive work environments.
Generation Z, with its particular characteristics, requires adaptations in work environments that promote flexibility and collaborative work. Intergenerational programmes facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences between young and old, strengthening professional skills and promoting mutual learning.
Finally, the value of intergenerational education in building a more cohesive society is highlighted, reducing prejudice and fostering dialogue, cooperation and social development in a context of demographic and technological change.
