dc.description.abstract[EN]Nowadays, in the educational field, there are still stigmas towards students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), especially on the part of future teachers. The aim of this study is to analyze the stigmatizing attitudes and beliefs of pre-service teachers toward students with ASD. A quantitative and descriptive study was carried out by applying an anonymous questionnaire to 76 students of Early Childhood and Primary Education degrees from different Spanish universities. The results generally reflect that the students have an adequate knowledge and a low acceptance of myths. However, stigmatizing beliefs and attitudes persist, particularly regarding the autonomy and behavioural expressions of students with ASD. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of an adequately training future teachers based on the principle of inclusive education.en_EN
