Resumen
[EN] Examines how climate change increases the vulnerability of women and girls, especially those living in poverty. It explains that environmental disasters force millions to migrate, exposing them to exploitation and human trafficking. The feminization of migration and structural gender inequalities heighten the risk of domestic servitude and precarious labor. Many migrant women end up in invisible, unprotected jobs where they face labor and sexual abuse. Irregular immigration status further prevents them from reporting crimes and perpetuates exploitation. The text highlights how gender stereotypes sustain this precariousness. It also criticizes the lack of effective legal responses. Finally, it calls for stronger human rights protections, reduced demand for exploitative services, and structural social change.
