El cine como instrumento para una mejor comprensión humana

Abstract

[ES] El cine es una poderosa herramienta cultural que permite conocer algunos elementos de la condición humana a través de la imagen y del sonido enriquecido con todas las bellas artes para tratar de impactar al intelecto y a la emoción. Procura llegar al espectador a través de la empatía por los personajes y la proyección de las experiencias propias con lo que se ve en la pantalla. Se revisa en este artículo la importancia de las neuronas espejo y de la empatía para que los espectadores se sientan cercanos a la situación que se vive en el cine y la necesidad de una buena formación para comprenderlo mejor.

[EN] The cinema is a powerful cultural tool that allows us to gain insight into some elements of the human condition through images and sound that is enriched with all the fine arts with a view to sparking the intellect and the emotions. It attempts to reach the spectator through empathy with the characters and the projection of one’s own experience onto what is seen on the screen. Here we review the importance of mirror neurons and of empathy so that spectators can feel close to the situations and circumstances portrayed on the screen and the need for proper training to understand the medium better.
