Recuperación de la información en entornos educativos de educación superior: el caso de la UEMC

Abstract

La biblioteca universitaria ha de desarrollar sus funciones en dos escenarios distintos: el tecnológico, fruto de la sociedad de la información y el conocimiento, y el del aprendizaje permanente, potenciado con la implantación del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior. Para conocer si estos dos ejes están presentes en la Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes se realiza una investigación que pretende determinar si su personal docente e investigador aprovecha los recursos bibliográficos y documentales con los que cuenta la citada institución, o están disponibles en acceso abierto. Los resultados muestran la conveniencia de desarrollar un programa de alfabetización informacional que favorezca el uso de los recursos e incremente y/o mejore la eficacia en el trabajo del personal docente e investigador[EN] The university library has to develop its duties in two different settings: the technological, which is the result of the information and knowledge society, and continuous learning experience that is being boosted with the introduction of the European Higher Education Framework. To know if these two settings are present at the “Europea Miguel de Cervantes” university we will reasearch that will determine if the teaching and research staff takes advantage of the bibliographic and documentary information resources of the university, including those which are available through open access. The results shows the need of developing a programme of information literacy that will help the use of the resources as well as increase and improve the efficient work of the teaching and research staff.
