Producción científica en Fisioterapia en España: estudio bibliométrico basado en Scopus (1995-2015)

Abstract

[ES] Objetivo: caracterizar la producción española de literatura científica sobre fisioterapia entre los años 1995 y 2015. Método: se realizó un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo a 2662 artículos en el área de fisioterapia indizados en las bases de datos de Scopus. Las variables estudiadas fueron: número de documentos encontrados, evolución temporal de la producción , productividad de los autores, filiación institucional, colaboración, tipo de publicación, idioma,visibilidad y citación . Resultados: la tendencia refleja que la producción científica en Fisioterapia ha ido en aumento, en paralelo al desarrollo de la disciplina, y se destaca el carácter transversal de la misma. Las instituciones más productivas son las Universidades y existe un alto grado de colaboración con organismos extranjeros, que muestran también un gran interés en la producción científica de España en este campo. [EN] Objective: To characterize the Spanish scientific literature production on physical therapy between the years 1995 to 2015. Method: A descriptive and retrospective study was carried out on 2,662 articles which had been indexed on the Scopus database. The following variables were studied: number of found documents, production evolution through time, author's productivity, institutional affiliation, collaboration, type of publication, language, visibility and quotation. Results: The trend reflects an increase on the scientific production related to physical therapy, parallel to the development of this discipline, highliting its own cross-disciplinary nature. Universities are the most productive institutions. A high degree of cooperation with foreign organizations also exists which demonstrates a greater interest on the Spanish scientific production on this field.
