Los nuevos centros escolapios en Castilla y León (1875-1931). Perspectiva social y educativa

Abstract

The present historiographie research on the Pious Schools in Castille and Leon during the Bourbon Restoration has studied the public, institutional and social dimensions of these centres. The liberal revolutions of the nineteenth century defended the escolapios and even let them expand to such an extent that the end of the century they increased considerably. If it happened so it was because its educative work brought great benefits to the State as well as the citizens. Therefore, there was a symbiosis between the unimaginable in other teaching institutions.

El presente trabajo de investigación historiográfica de los colegios escolapios castellanoleoneses durante la Restauración borbónica ha estudiado las dimensiones públicas-institucionales y sociales de estos centros. Las revoluciones liberales del siglo XIX defendieron a los escolapios e incluso les permitieron expandirse llegando a finales de siglo a aumentar considerablemente. Si ocurrió tal circunstancia se debió a que su obra educativa reportaba grandes beneficios tanto al Estado como a los ciudadanos, produciéndose una simbiosis de actuación entre los escolapios y el pueblo, último beneficiario, y, por otro lado, inimaginable en otras instituciones docentes.
