Vías abandonadas: pasado, presente y futuro de la línea transversal Monfragüe-Astorga

Abstract

[ES] El trabajo estudia la vía férrea que unía Monfragüe con Astorga. Analiza el origen de la línea en el siglo XIX y su papel en el desarrollo económico y social del occidente español. Describe el estado actual del recorrido en sus diferentes tramos y especula sobre la posibilidad de recuperación de esta línea en el futuro.[EN] The work studies the railway which linked Monfragüe with Astorga. It analyzes the origin of the line during the nineteenth century and its role on the economic and social development of the Spanish West. It describes the current state of the way in its different sections and speculates on the possibility of this line being restored in the future.
