Estudio de resultados en las diferentes formas del test matricial de Oldenburg. Un nuevo test de frases matriciales en ruido adaptativo

Abstract

[ES]El Test matricial de Oldenburg es una prueba de frases matriciales que evalúa la discriminación verbal en ruido en sujetos con deficiencia auditiva. La prueba consiste en repetir frases que se generan a partir de una matriz fija de palabras. Las frases son de semántica impredecible y estructura sintáctica fija. La prueba permite obtener el umbral de recepción verbal en diferentes condiciones de relación señal/ruido. El formato de respuesta define dos modos de presentación: cerrado (closed-set) y abierto (open-set). En formato cerrado el sujeto selecciona las palabras de cada frase en una matriz que se presenta en una pantalla táctil; en el formato abierto el sujeto repite oralmente la frase que ha escuchado. En esta ocasión se ha aplicado el test en formato abierto a una muestra de 12 sujetos implantados y 5 normoyentes con el fin de comparar los resultados obtenidos por los mismos sujetos en formato cerrado en la exploración realizada un año antes. Los resultados obtenidos indican que el formato abierto facilita la respuesta a sujetos con implante coclear, especialmente en las presentaciones previas de entrenamiento. La dispersión de la atención hacia múltiples tareas reduce los recursos cognitivos en una tarea ya exigente para los sujetos con deficiencia auditiva.

[EN]The Oldenburg Matrix Test is a matrix sentence test that assesses verbal discrimination in noise in hearing impaired subjects. The test consists of repeating sentences that are generated from a fixed matrix of words. The sentences are of unpredictable semantics and fixed syntactic structure. The test allows to obtain the threshold of verbal reception in different signal-to-noise ratio conditions. The response format defines two presentation modes: closed (closed-set) and open (open-set). In closed format the subject selects the words of each sentence in an array that is presented in a touch screen; In the open format the subject repeats orally the phrase he has heard. This time the test was applied in open format to a sample of 12 subjects implanted and five subjects of normal hearing in order to compare the results obtained by the same subjects in closed format in the exploration carried out a year before. The results indicate that the open format facilitates the response to subjects with cochlear implants, especially in previous training presentations. The dispersion of attention to multiple tasks reduces cognitive resources in an already demanding task for hearing impaired subjects.
