Abstract

[ES]El e-learning es un término que procede del inglés, y puede definirse como el uso de las ventajas del aprendizaje a través de Internet. En otras palabras, es la adaptación del ritmo de aprendizaje al alumno y la disponibilidad de las herramientas de aprendizaje independientemente de límites horarios o geográficos. Este método, al igual que la formación a distancia clásica, flexibiliza los horarios, elimina las barreras de espacio y distancia. Sin embargo, este método aporta todas las ventajas de las TIC y cuenta con otros medios de comunicación con el profesorado, más flexibles, gráficos y rápidos, que palian por completo las carencias del método clásico de educación a distancia. El método e-Learning dispone de nuevas herramientas interactivas, que hacen del mismo una forma práctica y sencilla de asimilar los contenidos por el sujeto, construyendo una acción formativa más agradable y reduciendo los requerimientos de voluntariedad necesarios para el proceso de formación. En este capítulo se reco-gen los conceptos clave para la creación y puesta en marcha de un sitio de aprendizaje a distancia

[EN]E-learning is a term that comes from the English language, and can be defined as the use of the advantages of learning through the Internet. In other words, it is the adaptation of the learning pace to the learner and the availability of learning tools regardless of time or geographical limits. This method, like classical distance learning, makes timetables more flexible, eliminates the barriers of space and distance. However, this method brings all the advantages of ICT and has other means of commu-nication with teachers, more flexible, graphic and fast, which completely compensate for the shortcom-ings of the classical method of distance education. The e-Learning method has new interactive tools, which make it a practical and simple way of assimilating the contents by the subject, building a more pleasant formative action and reducing the voluntary requirements necessary for the training process. This chapter contains the key concepts for the creation and implementation of a distance learning site.
