[EN] As a future teacher of a foreign language, one of the questions I ask myself is related to the
following question: How can we produce a significant learning of the Italian language in our students in an original and different way? To put it plainly, what are the most appropriate methodologies and what are the resources we have at our disposal?
In this Master's thesis we develop a proposal for a Didactic Unit for a level C1 Italian course at the Official Language School of Salamanca.
The teaching-learning process of foreign languages is something that is in increasing demand in the Spanish educational system. As it is well known, due to this increase in the
demand, more and more Universities are incorporating the teaching of foreign languages in their degrees.
Italian is currently the fourth most studied language in the world (Istituto Il David, 2019). It
is in continuous evolution and many students are interested in learning this language. After
completing a degree in Modern Languages and their Literatures (Italian, French and Portuguese) at the University of Oviedo and teaching Spanish for a year in Italy as a conversation assistant, I decided to do this Master's Degree in Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, which I am
finishing with the presentation and defence of this work.
As future teachers of Italian, it is essential that we know how to organise and design the classes we will teach, and for this purpose we have the Annual General Programme(P.G.A).
From a regulatory point of view, it is an institutional document for academic planning. It is
an instrument of organisation and functioning of the centre, where the didactic units and all
the action plans established for the course are included. In other words, it is a form of teaching organisation, a coherent structure of the characteristics of teaching and the level in
which it takes place: centre, student characteristics, levels... As teachers, we will also have
the responsibility of adapting to the different situations and conditions of the centre and to
the characteristics and needs of the students.
My proposal for a Didactic Unit actually belongs to a PGA, made up of 15 units whose
common thread is Italian television series. The Unit developed is number 6, with which the
students will embark on a new journey to learn and improve the Italian language through
the series L'amica Geniale.
The work will be divided into different sections. The first section will be dedicated to the justification of the Didactic Unit, the objectives of the TFM and the Theoretical Framework. The second section will include the proposal of the Didactic Unit and all its components, and the third and last section will contain the conclusions obtained during the course of the work.
