El intérprete profesional en el contexto sociocultural japonés: en defensa de una formación íntegra para garantizar la profesionalización del intérprete

Abstract

[EN] This work seeks to address the current situation of professional interpreting in the sociocultural context of Japanese society from the perspective of training and education. The final goal is to understand which elements constitute the current status of interpreters in Japan and how their training methods influence the structure and professionalization of the industry. In order to achieve this, we will present a historical analysis of interpreting in the country and we will study the events that have influenced the establishment of this trade, as well as the factors that have impacted it negatively. Finally, with the support of three interviews with experts in the field, we will reflect on the different interpreter training disciplines within Japan and the academic evolution of this field.

[SP] El presente trabajo pretende abordar la situación actual de la interpretación profesional en el contexto sociocultural de la sociedad japonesa desde la perspectiva de la formación y educación. El objetivo final es comprender qué elementos constituyen el estatus actual de los intérpretes en Japón y cómo los métodos de formación de los mismos influyen en la estructura y profesionalización de la industria. Para ello, se hará un análisis histórico de la interpretación en el país y se estudiarán qué acontecimientos han influido en la solidificación de este gremio, así como qué factores han repercutido de forma negativa en él. Finalmente, con el apoyo de tres entrevistas a expertas del ámbito, reflexionaremos sobre las distintas disciplinas de formación de intérpretes que existen en Japón y la evolución académica de este campo
