Libros-álbum Ilustrados sobre Migración: Aplicabilidad en Aulas Multiculturales y Multilingües

Abstract

El presente proyecto pretende analizar el potencial pedagógico de los libros-álbum ilustrados de temática migratoria tal y como lo perciben los interesados en el ámbito educativo (profesores, padres, trabajadores sociales en el ámbito de la migración, bibliotecarios, etc.) en el contexto particular de la educación española. Con la intensificación considerable de los movimientos migratorios en las últimas décadas, derivados de un sinfín de circunstancias variables que van desde los conflictos bélicos hasta la más absoluta precariedad, reconocer la multiculturalidad de las aulas se ha convertido en un objetivo primordial para reflejar esta realidad tan cambiante en los planes de estudios pertinentes. No obstante, la rápida génesis de este fenómeno cultural y social ha dificultado la recopilación y selección de los recursos necesarios a través de los cuales abordar eficazmente este nuevo reto educativo. Partiendo de esta premisa, este proyecto de investigación pretende examinar las actitudes mostradas por los agentes educativos con respecto a la incorporación de libros-álbum ilustrados que abordan el fenómeno de la migración a nivel curricular, analizando simultáneamente los múltiples factores esgrimidos por dichos agentes a la hora de elegirlos.

The present project seeks to analyse the pedagogical potentiality of migration-themed multimodal picturebooks as perceived by education stakeholders (teachers, parents, social workers in the field of migration, librarians, etc.) within the distinctive context of Spanish education. With the significant intensification of migratory movements in the last decades, stemming from a myriad of fluctuating circumstances ranging from warring ambiences to the utmost precariousness, acknowledging the classrooms' multiculturalism has become paramount so as to reflect this rapidly shifting reality in the pertinent school curricula. Notwithstanding, the swift genesis of this cultural and social phenomenon has hindered the gathering and selection of the necessary resources through which to tackle this new educational challenge effectively. On this premise, this research project aims at examining the attitudes displayed by education stakeholders towards the incorporation of migration-themed multimodal picturebooks at the curricular level while analysing the manifold factors underlying their rationality in choosing them.
