Tradaptaciones: allende las culturas

Abstract

[EN] This paper attempts to study the previous notions that lead to the concept of post-translation as a new paradigm of translation that focuses on the study of translation in terms of the source and target culture, as well as its relation with other disciplines. An analysis of the concepts of translation and adaptation is also carried out, searching for the common aspects in order to find a definition of "tradaptation" and its contextualisation as a method of adaptation and cultural translation of a work. Through the work Don Quixote and its tradaptations, a study will be carried out of the socio-cultural systems at stake in the original text and the rewritings, as well as the work of the tradaptators in order to achieve adaptation and acceptance in the target language.

[SP] El presente trabajo trata de hacer estudio de las nociones previas que conducen al concepto de postraducción, como nuevo paradigma de la traducción que se centra en el estudio de ésta en función de la cultura de origen y de destino, así como su relación con otras disciplinas. Asimismo se lleva a cabo un análisis de los conceptos de traducción y adaptación, buscando los puntos en común para procurar una definición de “tradaptación” y su contextualización como método de adaptación y traducción cultural de una obra. A través de la obra Don Quijote de la Mancha y sus tradaptaciones, se llevará a cabo un estudio de los sistemas socioculturales que se trabajan en la obra de origen y las reescrituras, así como la labor del tradaptador para lograr una adecuación y aceptación en el de destino.
